rene likes to keep a mental checklist in their head. after all! its good to stay organized. here are some of the things…

1. perform maintenance on that boat. it is very old. when rene found it there were too many holes! too much rust! and only good for sitting under. then they fixed up and it was all good… in their head, rene calls it the big bulle because it is better than a lemon.

2. take their sword and beat the shit out of their suit. the fireproof coating rene put on their orange suit (that they wear as pants) (they can never be a liar with their pants on fire) attracts dirt and dust very easily… the birds are not pleased and are scared

3. shift at workshop. rene (as elviras apprentice) (and as part of their unusually long apprenticeship) has to help around with the place. rene can predict what people want by now. perform an Ocular Patdown… you can basically know everything. more efficient. customers are unsure of how to feel

4. finish that trinket. rene is not very good at making pretty or cute looking toys. they’re just not used to that kind of stuff. its always systems and practicality. and that is okay. but it wouldnt hurt to combine it with something else. like if you have a seed… whats that gonna do. you need some soil for it to be, some sun for it to grow, water for it to bloom… then you have a plant! recently someone told rene a story about a clockwork guardsman and that would be easiest for rene to craft. a good gift, probably

5. taking care of their collection. rene has a very large collection of old parts. they know every piece of scrap and remember exactly when and how they found it (because they were a weird kid who liked that sort of stuff). but cuz the collection is so massive, they have to dust and clean things, just so stuff doesn’t deteriorate more. rene looks through it when thinking of their next project. they would think… ‘if you take this and did some other things, this could be a cool little clockwork figure’

7. scavenging. rene likes to go looking for scrap. yesterday rene enlisted the help of a strange buddy. she can be very busy (a shame because rene thinks she is extremely extremely cool. almost a role model) but today! they will hang. rene is going to explore a cave and need someones good eyes and ears and quick instincts and flips
