hello! first post.

so. this is renat beaumont (or rene) let's pretend this drawing is completely done and dont laff

rene is a scrap inventor and blacksmithing spprentice from beaumont workshop. (they are the apprentice of another friends oc! elvira) (hi rei) as an inventor, their works can be... Kind of Odd. other times they're not so successful. and the person themself is just as strange!

rene basics 

rene is 17. has bluishgreenish hair and pronouns. the people of fontaine know this one as the oddball inventor who hangs around some weird junkyard areas. you might catch them scavenging in the sewers of fleuve cendre, the meka-swarmed fields of the country side, sneaking into the fortress of meropide... the fontaine research institute is constantly dealing with renats hijinks and their mysteriously missing equipment

who are they?! generally, rene is a direct and practical feller! they're good with their hands, naturally! and who wants to waste time with formalities??? on top of that they're a very eccentric and carefree person, acting by their own rules and stuffzzzz

they also tend to be in their own head, kinda staring off, and are very observant. they know things, see things, hear things. walk up to the beaumont workshop and a glance at your outfit and strut tells them what you need. they know people act, think, talk.. their head isnt anything fantastical like freminet but it's things like ideas, details, the push and pull of things, the intricacies and practicalities, the current situation, things like that. it can come in handy but it can kind of impede their creativity sometimes! womp womp

a genius! only sometimes. not socially. rene is Really good at reading a situation, but not really Navigating it. they're Very blunt and comments on things that might be Factually right but not Appropriate

as an inventor, their works can range from the ???? to actual groundbreaking stuff. their smaller inventions i'd say resemble chindogu? so imagine things like: a three-spouted teapot, heels with umbrellas, a chunky holiday card with spinning dials for different phrases. for their more impressive inventions its more: an automatic furnace (that renat invented in my mind it was not estelle actually), a maybe not so safe jetpack, that's the stuff!

they use exclusively scrap and abandoned material. they find some kind of value in it, and maybe theres some emotional connection... idk

oh yeah... Re😂😂

- their special dish is lasagna. it is bad. “Rene's specialty. It is apparently lasagna, but it is more accurately described as layers of inedible substitutes. The only remaining ingredient of the original recipe is the melted cheese. Rene claims to have experimented long enough to have perfected the flavor... But is this even the same dish?”

- when you imagine this person moving around a room i need you to imagine l from deathnote. not the demeanor just the way l moves around… sits…

- likes lizard. more fun fact: a very creative namer (not really) (absolutely not) (it is so so terrible). named a lizard that came around the workshop sometimes rocky because they found her under a rock. estelle was not pleased (mostly because she was not a fan of the lizard)
